This specimen was lot 73555 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2023), where it sold for $80. The catalog description[1] noted, "PANAMA. 1/4 Balboa, 1993. NGC MS-66 Prooflike. Flashy and reflective luster flows over slightly bowl-like fields, a real treat to rotate under a lamp. Excellent for those seeking a true premium example of the type impressed with Prooflike quality." This type was struck 1966-75, 1979-83, 1986 and 1993. It matches the module of the United States clad quarter dollar in every respect.

Recorded mintage: 4,000,000 plus some unauthorized proofs.

Specification: 5.67 g, copper-nickel clad copper, 24.3 mm diameter.
