Olmutz 1721 thaler Dav-1218
This specimen was lot 4642 in Künker sale 406 (Osnabrück, March 2024), where it sold for €440 (about US$577 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"DIE GEISTLICHKEIT IN DEN HABSBURGISCHEN ERBLANDEN, OLMUTZ, Wolfgang von Schrattenbach, 1711-1738. Reichstaler 1721. Etwas Belag, sehr schön +. (Austria, bishopric of Olmutz, Wolfgang von Schrattenbach, 1711-38, thaler of 1721. Stained, choice very fine.)"
This type from 1718-25 is among the better issues from this ecclesiastical state in Moravia, then part of Austria, now the Czech Republic. Later thalers from the 1720's are listed quite inexpensively.
