This specimen was lot 30341 in Heritage sale 3029 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $2,115. The catalog description[1] noted, "Olmutz. Jakob Ernst gold 1/4 Ducat ND (1738-45), MS64 NGC. A superb example with full mint brilliance and sharply struck features. Just a gorgeous coin with exceptional eye appeal. Rare in this elite quality." This ecclesiastical state was in Moravia, then part of Austria, now the Czech Republic. The last gold issue was a ducat of 1779.
