from Künker sale 352, lot 1682

This specimen was lot 1682 in Künker sale 352 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €8,500 (about US$11,830 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"DIE GEISTLICHKEIT IN DEN HABSBURGISCHEN ERBLANDEN, OLMUTZ, BISTUM, SEIT 1777 ERZBISTUM, Wolfgang von Schrattenbach, 1711-1738. Dukat o. J. GOLD. RR Attraktives Exemplar, kl. Zainende, sehr schön-vorzüglich. Erworben 1931 bei der Firma Julius Jenke, München. (bishopric of Olmutz, Wolfgang von Schrattenbach, 1711-38, undated ducat. Rare, attractive, small edge clip, very fine to extremely fine. Bought from Julius Jenke in 1931.)"

This type was struck 1712, 1725-28, 1734-37 and undated. Omlutz, now Olomuoc, is now in the Moravian portion of the Czech Republic.
