This specimen was lot 1068 in Künker sale 263 (Osnabrück, June 2015), where it sold for €1,400 (about US$1,809 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"NÜRNBERG, STADT Reichstaler 1677. RR Hübsche Patina, sehr schön +. (Germany, city of Nuremberg, thaler of 1677. Rare, toned, very fine or better.)"
This is the final date of a type previously struck 1658-63. Despite the five available dates, it is expensive, unlike the those issued during the Thirty Years War (Dav-5647).
