Stack's Bowers November 2025 Collectors Choice sale, lot 78325

This specimen was lot 78325 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2025), where it sold for $240. The catalog description^[1] noted, "NORWAY. 2 Mark, 1652. Christiania (Oslo) Mint. Frederik III. PCGS VF-25. From the Richard August Collection." This type was struck 1649-69 with various mintmarks (this date has a coin die for a mintmark). One specie daler was six mark or 96 skilling.
