This specimen was lot 24396 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (Newport Beach, CA, January 2021), where it sold for $360. The catalog description[1] noted, "NETHERLANDS EAST INDIES. 1/2 Duit, 1809. NGC MS-63 Red Brown. A pleasing example of the type with sharp detail throughout, and abundant mint red remaining in the protected areas." This type was struck 1802-09 and is listed as inexpensive.
