This specimen was lot 18424 in Heritage auction 354 (the Horwedel sale, Long Beach, CA, September 2004), where it sold for $16,100. The catalog description[1] noted, "Finer of the Two Known Examples. Huntington Park, CA - $10 1902 Plain Back Fr. 633 The NB of Huntington Park Ch. # (P)11925. It is truly the extraordinary sale of California National Bank Notes that would offer both of the known examples from this much sought after Los Angeles County community. This piece appeared in the Krakover sale as lot 121, and then in the February, 1991 Superior sale as lot 31, where our consignor obtained it. It's been off the market since. This is the finer of the two pieces known from here, and offers a possible once in a lifetime opportunity for a fortunate collector to add one or both of these notes to his holdings. Bright Extremely Fine-About Uncirculated, with strong purple signatures."

This specimen was lot 17774 in Heritage auction 354 (the Horwedel sale, Long Beach, CA, September 2004), where it sold for $5,750. The catalog description[1] noted, "Excessively Rare Huntington Park Note- One of Two Known, Huntington Park, CA - $20 1902 Plain Back Fr. 659 The NB of Huntington Park Ch. # 11925. Fine, with a couple of tiny chips out of the bottom margin, a very rare note certain to see some spirited competition before the hammer falls tonight. Ex-Currency Auctions of America's Charles Colver collection sale of May, 1999, lot 1818."
