This specimen was lot 703 in Steve Album Auction 51 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2025), where it sold for $840. The catalog description[1] noted, "MYSORE: Tipu Sultan, 1782-1799, AV pagoda, Patan, AH1200 year 4, Arabic letter "h", mint name, and date // Arabic huwa al-sultan al-'adil sana 1200 hijri; excellent quality, choice XF." The Indian state of Mysore, under her rulers Haider Ali (1761-82) and Tipu Sultan (1782-99), was a serious thorn in the side of the British Raj. This type was struck AH 1197-1200.
