This specimen was lot 2505 in Steve Album Auction 51 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2025), where it sold for $60. The catalog description[1] noted, "MUGHAL: Akbar I, 1556-1605, AR rupee, Delhi, IE50, month of Farwardin, a few testmarks, rare subtype, VF, R." The SCWC lists this type for years IE45-50 as a somewhat scarce mint. We don't know if earlier dates exist. The Ilahi Era (IE) was a solar calendar used during Akbar's reign for the dating of coinage and was abandoned a few years after his death.
