Steve Album sale 55, lot 2381

This specimen was lot 2381 in Steve Album Auction 55 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2026), where it sold for $60. The catalog description^[1] noted, "MUGHAL: Aurangzeb, 1658-1707, AR rupee, Zafarpur, AH1099 year 32, some discoloration on the obverse (removable), XF, S." This type was struck at Zafarpur in years 28-34 and is scarce. Zafarpur is today an insignificant village in Haryana state. In the time of the Mughals, it was in the soubah of Delhi.
