This specimen was lot 2357 in Steve Album Auction 55 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2026), where it sold for $336. The catalog description[1] noted, "MUGHAL: Shah Jahan I, 1628-1658, AR 1/2 rupee, Surat, year 24, bold strike, NGC graded MS63. The slab has the Hijri date AH1060, not visible on this coin (but normal for year 24)." This half rupee is listed from Surat for years 7 thru 31. Other mints included Ahmadabad, Akbarabad, Akbarnagar, Daulalabad, Junagadh, Kabul, Khambayat, Lahore, Patna, Pattan Deo, Ujjain and Zafarnagar. Surat is the only common mint.
