This specimen was lot 2363 in Steve Album Auction 55 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2026), where it sold for $110. The catalog description[1] noted, "MUGHAL: Shah Jahan I, 1628-1658, AR rupee, Kabul, year 15, nearly XF." The Kabul mint struck this type for years 10-11, 14, 16-17, 25, 28, 30. Kabul is now the capital of Afghanistan.
Recorded mintage: unknown but a better mint.
