This specimen was lot 75229 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, May 2025), where it sold for $105. The catalog description[1] noted, "INDIA. Mughal Empire. 1/2 Fanam, ND [AH 1167-73 (1753-60)]. Karappa Mint. Alamgir II. NGC AU-55." While most examples of this type, including this one, are undated, some are known dated AH 1177. Numista states this denomination was one-eighth of a rupee.
