Muley Yusuf I was proclaimed sultan in AH 1330 after his brother abdicated. He oversaw a time of various conflicts, including a rebellion that resulted in occupation by French forces (and issue of coins under the French protectorate). As with his predecessors, his identity is only alluded to on the coins, without directly stating his name.
