Muley Yusuf I was proclaimed sultan in AH 1330 after his brother abdicated. He oversaw a time of various conflicts, including a rebellion that resulted in occupation by French forces (and issuance of coins under the French protectorate). As with his predecessors, his identity is only alluded to on the coins, without directly stating his name.

Shown is a bronze one mazuna coin from the Paris mint, dated AH 1330, or 1912 AD.
