This specimen was lot 70203 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, May 2020), where it sold for $204. The catalog description[1] noted, "ITALY. Milan. Grosso da 2 soldi, ND (1412-47). Filippo Maria Visconti. NGC MS-62. Obverse: Crowned coat-of-arms; Reverse: St. Ambrose seated facing, holding flagellum and crozier. Rather well struck and handsomely toned, with some brilliant luster radiating throughout as well." The Visconti were the first dukes of Milan but died out in 1447, succeeded by the Sforzas.
