This specimen was lot 57507 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2024), where it sold for $144. The catalog description[1] noted, "MARTINIQUE. 50 Centimes, 1922. NGC MS-61." This type and an accompanying one franc are the only issues recorded for Martinique in the twentieth century. Both are scarce and expensive.
Recorded mintage: 500,000.
Specification: copper-nickel per the SCWC, more likely aluminum bronze like the similar France 1922 50 centimes.
