This specimen was lot 33418 in Heritage sale 3098 (New York, January 2022), where it sold for $960. The catalog description[1] noted, "Belgium: Liège. Ferdinand of Bavaria gold Ecu d'Or 1637 AU Details (Harshly Cleaned) NGC, Liège mint. A promising early gold emission, which despite the notable flashy surfaces from a prior cleaning, is laden with ample remnant detail and crisp central devices. From the GK Collection." This type was struck 1631, 1635-44. It is rare; the SCWC has only a pencil drawing of the coin.
