This specimen was lot 53315 in Stack's Bowers Hong Kong auction (Hong Kong, April 2021), where it sold for $1,320. The catalog description[1] noted, "CHINA. Kwangtung. 10 Cents, Year 18 (1929). PCGS MS-65 Gold Shield. With just five have been graded finer in the PCGS census, this shimmering Gem presents great eye appeal and offers a melange of toning comprised of sea foam green and burnt sienna." This one year type was formerly considered common. It is accompanied by a similar twenty cents (KM Y426).
