This specimen was lot 38598 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2025), where it sold for $65. The catalog description[1] noted, "INDIA. Kutch. 5 Kori, VS 1953/1897. Kutch Mint. Khengarji III (under Victoria as Empress). NGC MS-62." Shown is a five kori from the rule of Khengarji III (1875-1942 AD). This ruler enjoyed an extended reign, covering the period of four different British monarchs (all of whom were honored on the coins during their respective tenures). The example shown is dated 1897 AD / VS 1953, and honors Queen Victoria.
