Steve Album sale 54, lot 2270

This specimen was lot 2270 in Steve Album Auction 54 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2026), where it sold for $105. The catalog description[1] noted, "KUTCH: Khengarji III, 1875-1942, AR 2-1/2 kori, Bhuj, 1932//VS1989, citing George V, beautiful bold example! NGC graded MS65." Shown is a silver 2½ kori from the rule of Khengarji III (1875-1942 AD). This ruler enjoyed an extended reign, covering the period of four different British monarchs (all of whom were honored on the coins during their respective tenures). The example shown is dated 1932 AD/VS 1989, and honors George V. One kori = 16 dhinglo = 8 dhabu = two adhio.
