This specimen was lot 53266 in Stack's Bowers Hong Kong auction (Hong Kong, April 2021), where it sold for $480. The catalog description[1] noted, "CHINA. Kirin. 1 Mace 4.4 Candareens (20 Cents), CD (1907). NGC AU-55. Small characters for TING and WEI. A delightfully sharply struck coin with satiny luster remaining in the fields and light toning." This variety has a flower vase in the center of the character side. Others show a yin/yang or a figure "2". Kirin is known among numismatists for the profusion of varieties in its coinage.
