Jordan 1977 2-1/2 dinars
This specimen was lot 31024 in Heritage sale 3081 (New York, January 2020), where it sold for $2,100. The catalog description[1] noted, "Jordan: Hussein Ibn Talal 3-Piece gold & silver "Conservation" Proof Set AH 1397 (1977), 1) 2-1/2 Dinars AH 1397 (1977) - Proof, KM 31; 2) 3 Dinars AH 1397 (1977) - Proof, KM 32; 3) gold "Houbara Bustard" 50 Dinars - PR69 Ultra Cameo, KM 34; An appealing set of cameo Proof conservation issues, including the low-mintage "Houbara Bustard bird" 50 Dinars, which saw only 829 examples produced." This NCLT accompanied a three dinars (KM 32) and a fifty dinars (KM 34). It features the Rhim gazelle, Gazella leptoceros, an endangered species now found only in the Sahara. It may have roamed Jordan in biblical times.
