This specimen was lot 2004 in Goldberg sale 128 (Los Angeles, June 2022), where it sold for $72. The catalog description[1] noted, "Japan. 10 Sen, Meiji 41 (1908). PCGS graded MS-62." This type, roughly equal to a dime, was struck 1907-12. Despite the large mintage, it is rather expensive in high grade. The preceding type was 2.69 g, 0.800 fine silver. The last silver ten sen was struck in 1917.

Recorded mintage: 12,273,239.

Specification: 2.25 g, 0.720 fine silver.
