This specimen was lot 1250 in Steve Album Auction 52 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2025), where it sold for $216. The catalog description[1] noted, "JAPAN: Tokugawa, 1603-1868, AE 4 mon, Bunkyu gyoku type, 11 waves, broad rim around hole, bronze bosen (seed or mother) coin, cast 1863-68, a lovely example! XF." This example is attributed to KM C6b by the "Bun" in different style and "Ho" at left abbreviated.
