This specimen was lot 867 in Stephen Album sale 32 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2018), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "JAPAN: Ansei, 1854-1860, AV ni bu, fan-shaped kiri crest above and below, ni bu at center // Mitsutsugu signature, struck 1856-60, EF." We wonder where the SCWC got the mintage figure reported here.

Recorded mintage: 7,103,320.

Specification: 5.62 g, .209 gold and .791 fine silver, 21 x 13 mm, this specimen 5.48 g.
