This specimen was lot 3752 in Stephen Album sale 38 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2020), where it sold for $119. The catalog description[1] noted, "JAMAICA: Victoria, 1837-1901, farthing, 1897, copper-nickel, NGC graded MS65." This type was struck 1880-1901. Common in low grade, it is scarce choice. Copper-nickel was used instead of the usual bronze in deference to the tropical climate.

Recorded mintage: 144,000.

Specification: 2.8 g, copper-nickel, 20.2 mm diameter, plain edge.
