The first specimen was lot 1174 in Goldberg sale 116 (Los Angeles, June 2020), where it sold for $960. The catalog description[1] noted, "Israel. 10 Sheqalim, 1985. Science-atomic model. Choice Brilliant Proof." The second specimen was part of lot 2419 in Goldberg sale 117 (Los Angeles, September 2020), where it sold for $1,200. The catalog description[2] noted, "Israel. Gold 10 Sheqalim plus silver 1 and 2 Sheqalim, 1985. KM-150-148. For the 37th Anniversary of Independence. In original case of issue. Lot of 3 coins. Choice Brilliant Proof." This type was accompanied by a silver 2 sheqalim (KM 149) and silver sheqel (KM 148), which were probably sold in sets. The coinage was reformed in 1985-86, with 1,000 sheqalim = one new sheqalim.

Recorded mintage: 3,240 proofs, Ottawa mint.

Specification: 17.28 g, 0.900 fine gold, 0.500 troy oz AGW, 30 mm diameter
