This specimen was lot 868 in Stephen Album sale 30 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2018), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "ISRAEL: 10 pruta, JE5712 (1952), only 5 examples known, PCGS graded Proof 64, RRR, ex King's Norton Mint Collection. Listed as Proof on the PCGS holder and website but accurately described as a specimen strike." A full series of coinage, ranging from one to 500 pruta was issued in 1949. No more coinage was emitted until this type of 1952, which was reissued without a scalloped edge (KM 20) in 1954. Rapid inflation destroyed the value of this series and the coinage was reformed in 1960.

Recorded mintage: 26,042,000.
