This specimen was lot 6600 in CNG Triton XXVIII (New York, January 2025), where it sold for $306.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "IRELAND. John. As Lord of Ireland, 1172-1199. AR Halfpenny. Second (‘DOMinus’) coinage, group 1b. Dublin mint; Norman, moneyer. Struck circa 1185/90-1208/9. Crowned facing head / Voided cross potent, with annulet in each quarter. Toned. VF. An attractive example of this crude issues. From the Sidney W. Harl & Kenneth W. Harl Collection, purchased from York Coins, February 2009."
