This specimen was lot 75234 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2022), where it sold for $1,020. The catalog description[1] noted, "IRAQ. Fils, AH 1355//1936. Ghazi I. NGC MS-64 Brown. Ghazi ruled just a few years, (1933-1939), so finding his coins in higher levels of Mint State is not easy to do. This example has quite clean fields for the grade, and possesses strong eye appeal." This type was struck 1936 and 1938 for king Ghazi. The monarchy lasted 1921-58. This example sold for 8½ times the catalog value.
