Steve Album sale 51, lot 454

This specimen was lot 454 in Steve Album Auction 51 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2025), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "QAJAR: Fath 'Ali Shah, 1797-1834, AV toman, Rasht, AH1232, type W, lightly lustrous, Unc." This product of the Rasht mint was struck AH 1232-1239. This type was also struck at Kashan (KM 753.5), Khoy (KM 753.6), Kirmanshahan (KM 753.7), Yazd (KM 753.13), Qazvin (KM 753.8), Isfahan (KM 753.4), Shiraz (KM 753.10), Tabriz (KM 753.11, 753.12), Yerevan (KM 753.15, 753.2). This style and weight standard is listed in the SCWC as type W.
