This specimen was lot 21062 in Stack's Bowers ANA Auction (Denver, CO, August 2017), where it sold for $1,762.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "INDIA. Hyderabad. Ashrafi, AH 1333 Year 4 (1914). PCGS MS-64 Secure Holder. Sharply struck with soft satin luster. Brilliant and quite attractive." The Indian princely state of Hyderabad was one of the few large enough and wealthy enough to mint an extensive series of gold coins. This type, struck for Mir Usman Ali Khan (AH 1329-1367 or 1911-48 A.D.), is listed for AH1331-1362 and is not common, despite the lengthy production run.
