Sincona sale 66, lot 1846

This specimen was lot 1846 in Sincona sale 66 (Zürich, October 2020), where it sold for 160 CHF (about US$211 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"HEILIGES ROMISCH REICH, Maria Theresia, 1740-1780. Poltura 1775 S, Schmöllnitz. Selten. Sehr schön. (Austria, Maria Theresia, 1740-80, poltura of 1775, Schmöllnitz mint. Rare, Very fine.)"

This is a scarce one year type issued for Hungary. One poltura = 3 krajczar or kreuzer = 1/40 thaler.

Recorded mintage: unknown but scarce.

Specification: copper; this specimen 15.54 g.
