This specimen was lot 1117 in Stack's Bowers ANA auction (Chicago, August 2014), where it sold for $1,410. The catalog description[1] noted, "HUNGARY. Ducat, 1588-KB. Kremnitz Mint. Rudolf II (1576-1608). PCGS AU-58 Secure Holder. Slightly wavy flan but with a solid clear strike. From the Joseph Vas Collection." Friedberg lists this type for 1578-1608. It is the most common Hungarian ducat of Rudolf's reign.
