Sincona sale 50, lot 1150

This specimen was lot 1150 in Sincona sale 50 (Zürich, October 2018), where it sold for 4,750 CHF (about US$5,730 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"Maximilian II. 1564-1576. Dukat 1571 KB, Kremnitz. Sehr selten in dieser Erhaltung. Prachtvolle Erhaltung. FDC. (kingdom of Hungary, Maximilian II, 1564-76, ducat of 1571, Kremnitz mint. Very rare in this condition, Cabinet piece. Brilliant uncirculated.)"

This type is listed in Friedberg for 1565-79 and is common.
