This specimen was lot 71595 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2021), where it sold for $156. The catalog description[1] noted, "HONG KONG. Cent, 1905-H. Heaton Mint. NGC MS-63 Brown. Featuring a mix of deeper brown and light brass, this choice specimen dazzles the eye with great brilliance remaining as well." Hong Kong was seized by the British from China in 1842 and held by them until its return in 1997. In Hong Kong, 100 cents = one dollar; sterling coinage was never used there. This type was struck 1902-05.
