This specimen was lot 4781 in Sincona sale 9 (Zürich, October 2012), where it sold for 325 CHF (about US$411 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"NIEDERLANDE Holland, Provinz Dukat 1770. Sehr schön. (Netherlands, province of Holland, ducat of 1770, very fine.)"
This type was struck without change 1702-92 and is priced in the SCWC as a common date. Holland was the largest and wealthiest part of the United Provinces, now the kingdom of the Netherlands.
Recorded mintage: unknown but common.
Specification: 3.49 g, 0.986 fine gold, .110 troy oz AGW, this specimen is 3,47 g.
