This specimen was lot 47129 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2026), where it sold for $1,200. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Hamburg. Ducat, 1729. PCGS Genuine--Surfaces Smoothed, AU Details." This type was struck 1713-40 in small numbers. Hamburg did not give up minting ducats until 1872, amid the coinage reform resulting from unification.
