This specimen was lot 29495 in Heritage sale 3037 (New York, January 2015), where it sold for $1,762.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Hamburg. Free City gold 1/2 Ducat 1675-HL MS65 NGC. Charmingly small, and with extremely lustrous surfaces that present fully-rendered de[s]ign elements. Featuring the wonderfully popular imagery of Madonna and child, highly appealing and scarce in this gem designation." This type is listed for 1675 only and is scarce.
