Halberstadt in 1547

This specimen was lot 131 in Künker sale 263 (Osnabrück, June 2015), where it sold for €420 (about US$543 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"STADT Reichstaler 1691. Winz. Henkelspur, sehr schön. (Germany, city of Halberstadt, thaler of 1691. Mount mark, very fine.)"

This type was issued by the city and the bishop and closes the thaler series for the locale.
