Halberstadt in 1547

This specimen was lot 73 in Künker sale 263 (Osnabrück, June 2015), where it sold for €2,000 (about US$2,584 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"Halberstadt, BISTUM Albrecht V. von Brandenburg, 1513-1545. Taler o. J. (um 1525). Von großer Seltenheit. Feine Patina, Bearbeitungsspuren am Rand, sehr schön +, Das Stück hat Bearbeitungsspuren am Rand. (bishopric of Halberstadt, Albrecht of Brandenburg, 1513-45, undated thaler, of the greatest rarity, fine patina, edge tooled, very fine or better.)"

Another scarce one year type. The bishop was also archbishop of Mainz and Magdeburg.
