This specimen was lot 74252 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2022), where it sold for $504. The catalog description[1] noted, "GUERNSEY. 25 Pounds, 1996. Elizabeth II. NGC PROOF-68 Ultra Cameo. Celebrating European Football, this handsome cameo issuance displays vivid contrast between the silken devices and deeply polished fields. Perfect for all lovers of the beautiful game." Guernsey issued another 25 pounds in 1996 (KM 113), honoring the queen's 70th birthday.
