Papal States 1737Gub quattrino rev Tom F.jpg

This type is not mentioned in the SCWC. It was clearly minted for Clement XII (1730-40) but no quattrino with a St. Peter reverse is noted for his reign. It is not dated, so we have attributed to 1737 based on Tom's collection tag. Berman mentions several quattrini from Gubbio with the heads of St. Paul (2700), St. Peter (shown here and 2703) and various standing saints (2701, 2704, 2705, 2706).

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 2.1 g, copper.

Catalog reference: KM unlisted, Ber-2702.
