This specimen was lot 71462 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2022), where it sold for $120. The catalog description[1] noted, "GUATEMALA. Trimetallic Quetzal Proof Pattern, 1995. ANACS PROOF-68 Deep Cameo. A brilliant Proof with hard mirrored fields and frosted cameo devices." This pattern was struck in numerous formats (silver, brass, gilt, trimetallic, aluminum, copper, gold) in weights ranging from 6 g to 40 g. This denomination, which had for decades been represented by a banknote, was not converted to a coin until 2000, at which time a different design was used.
