This specimen was lot 75521 in Stack's Bowers June 2026 World Premier Collectors Choice Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2026), where it sold for $439.20. The catalog description[1] noted, "GUATEMALA. 2 Centavos, 1944. San Francisco Mint. NGC MS-65+." This type was struck 1943-44; the 1943 at Philadelphia and the 1944 at San Francisco. It is the last issue of this denomination which was never extensively issued. This example realized over twelve times the catalog value.
