Stack's Bowers October 2025 Collectors Choice sale, lot 74529

This specimen was lot 74529 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2025), where it sold for $125. The catalog description[1] noted, "GUATEMALA. Centavo, 1936. London Mint. NGC MS-65. Tied for highest grade by NGC." This type was struck 1932-39 at London and 1946-49 at Guatemala City. No date is rare but the proofs are very scarce.

Recorded mintage: 1,500,000 (500,000 struck in 1936 and 1,000,000 struck in 1937) plus proofs.

Specification: 3 g, nickel brass, 20 mm diameter, plain edge.
