This type was struck in Guatemala 1889-93. It accompanied by a similar half real (KM 155.2) and four reales (KM 150). No two reales was struck in 1890, a 25 centavos being substituted instead. The next issue of one reales (KM 166, of 1894-98) was denominated "1 REAL" instead of "UN REAL".

Recorded mintage: unknown but common.

Specification: 3.25 g, 0.835 fine silver.
