Steve Album sale 54, lot 3162

This specimen was lot 3162 in Steve Album Auction 54 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2026), where it sold for $85. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREENLAND: 10 ore token, 1911, nickel-plated zinc, Greenland Mining LTD; Ludwig Christian Lauer Mint, Nuremberg, an attractive example, PCGS graded MS62." This token accompanied similar 25 and 100 øre tokens (KM Tn2 and Tn3). Numista states that they were used in at the copper mine at Josva, which operated 1905-14. The locale is now known as Alanngorsuaq Fjord.

Recorded mintage: 5,000.

Specification: 1.3 g, nickel-plated zinc, 18 mm diameter, plain edge.
